Barraco lodge in Chile
The Barraco Lodge is located right next to the picturesque lake Tagua Tagua , in the northern part of Chile’s Patagonia,. This special accommodation does not only offer you a cosy lodge that will make you feel at home, but it also gives you the opportunity to discover the surroundings in an adventurous way .
An authentic Chilean accommodation
This Chilean lodge is set on 60 hectares of land, next to lake Tagua Tagua and the Puelo river. Its look is based on typical Patagonian architecture and was created entirely with local materials. The Barraco lodge has 7 rooms and offers space for 17 people. All rooms look out over the fascinating nature. The rooms are divided into three different houses that all have their unique, personalized style and spirit that keeps the Patagonian warmth alive.

As a guest of the Barraco lodge, you have access to the sauna deck. Here you can use the sauna and a hot tub while overlooking the lake that lies below in the valley. There are also several common areas on the property, such as a small library with books about the nature and history of Patagonia and a small café with a pool table. Finally, the lodge offers home-cooked meals and local specialities, which you can enjoy around a cosy campfire surrounded by nature.

The best location to explore Northern Patagonia
Hidden lakes, untouched rivers, waterfalls, mountains and some of the oldest forests in the world are only a few of the natural highlights of Northern Patagonia. The location of the Barraco Lodgeis hidden in this natural beauty which makes it the perfect place for nature enthusiasts. The lodge is a 2.5 hour car ride away from Puerto Montt. It is therefore a perfect stop if you want to drive the Carretera Austral, for example. And if you do not like to drive, at an additional fee a helicopter transfer can be arranged for you.

Add adventure to your stay
The surroundings of the lodge invite you to go on adventures. You can make hikes or explore the surroundings by car. But you can also explore the nature by taking part in the various activities offered. Barraco lodge has helicopters, boats, horses and kayaks and can therefore offer a great range of activities, whether it’s hiking through national parks, exploring the area by helicopter, skiing down a volcano or fly-fishing in crystal clear waters. Also fantastic to get to know this area are mountain biking, horse-back riding or stand-up paddling.
