Esteros del Iberá is one of the largest wetlands in the world with a very exuberant and varied flora and fauna. The grape harvest is celebrated every year in Mendoza. There are already a few events in January and February, but the highlight of this period is the 'Fiesta de la Vendimia' which takes place every year in March. It will not be a surprise that the Malbec, Argentina's most famous grape, will claim a prominent role during these festivities. In addition, traditional dishes will be served, accompanied by folk music. The highlight will be a Beauty contest, where the winner will be crowned "Queen of Vendimia". 

You haven't visited Argentina if you haven't eaten Alfajor. This traditional delicacy is available throughout the country and the Argentines are really proud of it. The Alfajor is a biscuit filled with so-called dulce de leche, which is very similar to caramel. Delicious!
