The restaurant Gustú puts the natural resources of Bolivia in the spotlight in a creative way. All ingredients used in the kitchen and in the bar come from Bolivia. Thanks to chef Kamilla Seidler, Gustú is currently number fourteen on the list of best restaurants in Latin America.

When visiting La Paz we definitely recommend you to take a look in one of the sixty cholets of the Bolivian architect Freddy Mamani. He was born in La Paz' sister city El Alto and comes from the indigenous people of Aymara. For his cholets he was inspired by the cholitas: the costumes worn by Bolivian women, who dominate the streets of La Paz, with their brightly colored skirts and bowler hats.

In the middle of the Salar de Uyuni, right next to the cactus island, are 6 luxury domed tent suites where you can spend the night. Potosí, with the important mountain Cerro Rico as a landmark. In the 16th and 17th century this town had its heyday because of the silver found in this mine. Soon the city grew into a true metropolis for that time. Important highlights are this mine and the Casa de la Moneda, also known as the Royal Mint where coins used to be pressed. The old wooden machines from the 17th century were brought here from Spain.
