Caribbean coast
The temperature is the same throughout the year. The dry period is Between December and March. This means that a little more rain falls between April and November. You can however, travel very well during these months as well.

Whales near the Pacific coast
The Pacific coast experiences more rainfall in a year than the Caribbean coast. The best time to travel is in June and October, when the humpback whales come close to the coast. A special experience!

Central Colombia
Inland, you will find the high mountains: think of Bogota and its surroundings. Here, the temperature is also constant throughout the year, but colder than on the coast. The temperature averages around 15 to 20°C and it cools down in the evening.

The Amazon
You can visit the Amazon all year round. Temperatures are constantly around 30°C and rain can fall all year round. In the months June to September there is a little less rain and these are the months with the longest hours of sunshine.
The best time to travel in Colombia when travelling with children
Because Colombia has relatively constant weather conditions, our school holidays are an excellent travel period. No school holidays excluded. Are Spring break and Christmas holidays too short to visit all the desired highlights of the country? During our summer holidays the Colombians also have holidays. This could mean that this period is a bit busier and/or that you need to plan your trip a little earlier because of the availability of the hotels, of course we are happy to help you with this.
