The charming village of Cabo Polonio is a very special place situated in Uruguay's largest national park. The village is separated from the outside world by a row of high dunes, so it can only be reached on foot, by horse, by all-terrain vehicle or by boat. The area is inhabited by a handful of people and by a number of large sea lion colonies.
