Travel itinerary
Day 1: Amsterdam – Buenos Aires
Your special trip through Argentina starts today. In the evening you will board your intercontinental flight to Buenos Aires in Amsterdam. You will arrive here the next day.
Day 2: Buenos Aires
Upon arrival at Buenos Aires airport this morning, you will be welcomed by our local staff and taken to your hotel. Buenos Aires is a beautiful metropolis also known as 'the Paris of the South'. This is because of its numerous shops and boutiques, architecture, cultural life, restaurants and its cosmopolitan population of predominantly Italian, Spanish, French, German, English, Eastern European, Arab and Asian origins. The city is one of the most European of South America and of the entire southern hemisphere and today you have the opportunity to get to know it better.
Overnight stay: Casa Sur Bellini | bed & breakfast
Day 3: Buenos Aires
Today you will be taken on a culinary tour through Buenos Aires and get acquainted with different kinds of street food. Don't eat too much at breakfast, because you are guaranteed to get enough to taste during this tour. Most Argentineans eat almost nothing in the morning and then have lunch. Together with your guide you will discover the three favorite dishes of the Argentineans, such as the delicious empanadas; dough stuffed with for example cheese, chickennor vegetables. You will also get to taste choripán, a sandwich with spicy sausage and chimichurri sauce. Almost every seller has his own 'secret' recipe for the choripán. You will end the tour with a delicious ice cream, where you can choose from about 200 different flavors. During the tour the guide will also tell you more about Buenos Aires itself. At the end of the tour you will be brought back to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Overnight stay: Casa Sur Bellini | bed & breakfast
Day 4: Buenos Aires – Mendoza – Charcas de Coria
Today you will fly to Mendoza, the center of the Argentine wine industry, about 80% of Argentine wines are produced here. In addition, the surroundings of Mendoza are beautiful, with the snowy peaks of the Andes on the horizon. At Mendoza airport there is a rental car waiting for you to drive to your hotel. You will stay at Casa Glebinias Hotel Jardin, just outside Mendoza. This hotel has a large garden with over 300 trees including 50 different fruit trees, such as apple, cherry, pear and peach trees. The fruits can be tasted right from the tree and are the basis of the homemade marmalade prepared for breakfast. In the garden there is also a large swimming pool and in the surroundings you can undertake many activities. Your host and hostess will be happy to help you arrange it.

The wineries offer free guided tours and you can taste some of the wines, after which there is of course the possibility to buy the wine. Mendoza is located close to the Andes, for example the Aconcagua, with 6959 meters, the highest mountain in South America, is located in this region. Mendoza itself is a beautiful city with lots of greenery, wide avenues, beautiful parks and squares. It is great to visit the squares and parks, to watch people, to cycle, to walk or enjoy a terrace.

The colors in the rocks are caused by oxidation of the different minerals in the soil: manganese gives a purple color, copper gives a green color, clay gives a yellow color and depending on the iron content there are different shades of red. You can also visit the central square where many products are traded; ponchos, rugs and souvenirs or the little church of Iglesia Santa Rosa de Lima.
