Travel itinerary
Day 1: Amsterdam - Buenos Aires
Today your Unique Journey through Argentina and Chile starts! In the evening you will board your intercontinental flight to Buenos Aires in Amsterdam.
Day 2: Buenos Aires
In the morning you'll arrive in Buenos Aires. Upon arrival at the airport, our local staff will welcome you and will bring you to your hotel. You will stay in a small-scale, luxury boutique hotel in the elegant residential area of Recoleta. The boutique hotel from 1912 has been beautifully restored and has a classic French look. The rest of the day you can recover from your flight and / or discover the city. You can visit the beautiful parks in the Palermo district, the stylish district of Recoleta, where you can enjoy shopping and where Evita Peron's grave is located. The characteristic San Telmo district, the cradle of tango and of course the popular neighborhood of La Boca with its colorful houses are certainly worth a visit!

Day 3: Buenos Aires
Today your guide will pick you up at your hotel and he will take you along the highlights of this beautiful city. During the walk you will visit the Plaza de Mayo, where Evita once addressed her people. Then you visit La Boca, the working-class neighborhood. You will also visit the Plaza San Martin and Recoleta. From the stories of your guide you will learn more about the rich history of the city and the Porteños, as the inhabitants of Buenos Aires are called. Afterwards you will be brought back to your hotel and the rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 4: Buenos Aires - El Calafate
From Buenos Aires you will take the plane for a domestic flight to El Calafate in the south of the country. El Calafate is located on the southern shore of Lake Argentino and is the gateway to Los Glaciares National Park. The village takes its name from a shrub, which can still be found in the region, but not in the same amount as before. Her fruits belong to the berry family, very small and dark purple. There is an old Tehuelche saying that ends in the following sentence: "Those who taste Calafate will come back there again".

Eolo Lodge
During your days in El Calafate you will stay in the luxurious Eolo Lodge, where you will experience the typical atmosphere of Patagonia. From this hotel you have a wonderful view of the glaciers of the southern Patagonian ice region, the largest lake in Argentina and the mountains of the Andes. Enjoy the peace and quiet here! This beautiful accommodation is located in the vast landscape of the Anita Valley, a special nature reserve. Eolo Lodge is inspired by the historic estancias in the area. The entire hotel, from the furniture to the crockery, combines the simple structure of the Creole houses, which the original inhabitants owned, with a modern architecture. The hotel has 17 rooms and from each room you have a beautiful view over the landscape. The rooms are decorated with antique furniture, giving you the feeling of a typical southern Argentine estancia.
Day 5: El Calafate
Today you will visit the impressive Perito Moreno glacier accompanied by your guide. The glacier ends in a fjord where the ice is 60 meters thick and 5 kilometers wide. The ice mass shifts 1 to 2 meters a day. This can be observed by the cracking of the ice chunks that slide over each other. Furthermore, large ice chunks break from the glacier at regular intervals, which then fall into the Argentina Lake with a lot of noise. Standing on the other side of the lake, you can watch and listen for hours to the sounds of this ever-moving ice mass. Afterwards you will be brought back to your hotel.

Day 6: El Calafate
Today you have time to explore the spectacular surroundings of your accommodation. On the 10,000 hectares of land you can do various activities from your lodge, such as horse riding, mountain biking, hiking, bird watching and of course enjoying the surroundings.

Day 7: El Calafate - Torres del Paine
Today you will be taken to Torres del Paine National Park in Chile. This National Park in Patagonia is considered one of the most special untouched nature reserves in the world. Because of its unique flora, fauna and spectacular landscapes, it has been added to the Unesco list of World Heritage. Here you will stay in Patagonia Camp where you will stay in one of the 20 luxury tents, called yurts. At Patagonia Camp, the beauty of camping such as contact with nature and the ultimate feeling of freedom is combined with the necessary luxury and comfort. These yurts, are entirely ecologically built and surprisingly comfortable and attractively decorated with a private bathroom, private terrace, comfortable beds, central heating and a beautiful domed skylight so that you can enjoy the beautiful starry sky in the evening.

Day 8 and 9: Torres del Paine
These days you are in Torres del Paine National Park and you can take advantage of the activities offered by Patagonia Camp. Torres del Paine has an area of over 181,000 hectares and consists of beautiful cliffs, rocks, glaciers, waterfalls, rivers, lakes and lagoons. The offered excursions of Patagonia Camp differ in duration and degree of difficulty. Think of beautiful walks to various viewpoints, kayaking or fishing in the Toro lake. Enjoy the special environment these days.

Aboard the Ventus Australis
The next few days you will stay at the Ventus Australis. A luxury expedition cruise that takes you on a special trip through the almost undiscovered environment of water, fjords and the unspoilt sub Antarctic nature. A great adventure! The Ventus Australis can accommodate 210 passengers and is specially designed to navigate through the narrow fjords and canals. During this cruise, you will travel with a zodiac one or more times a day to see the unique flora and fauna up close.
Day 10: Torres del Paine - Punta Arenas - Australis Cruise
After breakfast you will be transferred to the port of Punta Arenas where you will board the Ventus Australis. The ship will depart after a welcome drink from the captain and crew. During the night, cross the Strait of Magellan and cruise through a labyrinth of canals typical of southern Patagonia. You will see the lights of Punta Arenas fade away in the distance as you enter the channel between the islands of Darwin and Isla Grande Island.

Day 11, 12, 13: Australis Cruise
These days you will stay on board the Ventus Australis making an expedition cruise to Ushuaia. You sail through beautiful areas. With zodiacs you go ashore in different places and you take beautiful walks and you have the chance to spot wildlife. These are days to never forget.

Day 14: Australis Cruise - Ushuaia
Early in the morning you will reach the port of Ushuaia, a special, rugged and unspoilt island with very varied landscapes. On arrival you will be met by one of our local staff and taken to your hotel. Los Cauquenes, where you will be staying, is located on the banks of the Beagle Channel, just 7 kilometers from the center of Ushuaia. From the hotel you have a beautiful view of the snow-covered Andes mountain range. The hotel has a very warm appearance due to the use of wood in both the interior and exterior.

Day 15: Ushuaia - Buenos Aires
In the morning, you will leave Ushuaia and fly back to Buenos Aires. You have the rest of the afternoon at leisure. In the evening you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the Rojo Tango of the Faena Hotel. This tango show is known worldwide as one of the best in Buenos Aires and has already won several prizes. While enjoying a delicious dinner you will be treated here to performances of the best tango dancers. Afterwards you will be brought back to your hotel.

Day 16: Buenos Aires - Amsterdam
Unfortunately, your Unique Journey through Argentina and Chile is over. You will be picked up and transferred to Buenos Aires airport. Here you will board your intercontinental flight to Amsterdam where you will arrive the next day
